On April 21, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Cuba Hua Xin attended the handover ceremony of the 10KW distributed photovoltaic equipment donated to the Cuba National Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CNAFFC). Deyi took part in the supply process of the project. Fernando González, President of CNAFFC and Hero of the Republic of Cuba, attended the event.

Ambassador Hua acknowledged the significant contributions of CNAFFC in promoting China-Cuba friendly cooperation and people-to-people ties. He also expressed confidence that the Cuban people will surely overcome all challenges on their path forward under the strong leadership of the Cuba Party and government.

González thanked China for its long-term support and assistance, emphasizing that the Chinese-donated photovoltaic equipment ensures the daily operations of CNAFFC. He stated that the association will leverage the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba to elevate bilateral exchanges and cooperation to new heights.
